Family names, and jewelry built to match.
Mac Knowles is a family name. Carly's middle name is MacDowell, Abby's is Knowles. Both come from their family's history. When they decided to build a fine jewelry brand together, they wanted the name to reflect their intent to make pieces that will last generations.
They design every piece together in Austin, Texas. The process is slow and deliberate: hand sketches, CAD modeling, sterling silver prototypes worn and tested in real life. All before a single piece is made in 18k gold.
Carly and Abby just really love jewelry.
They love that it holds a unique sentimental value that other items don't. That it's chosen during life's most meaningful moments, collected with intention, and worn with pride. That it's not something you cycle through, but something that becomes part of your story.
They have always been drawn to jewelry that stands out. They love the pieces people ask about. The ones that transform an outfit and feel entirely personal. With such a defined and shared style, creating their own designs came naturally.
That's what Mac Knowles creates: jewelry designed to evolve with your style, hold up to your real life, and eventually become someone else's most treasured possession.
The principles behind every piece.
Familiar with an Edge
Each piece draws from shapes and silhouettes that have held up for decades, then gets reworked until it feels new. Familiar enough to wear without thinking, but interesting enough to draw attention.
Everyday & Everywhere
Our pieces are built for real life. Durable enough for your morning routine, striking enough for your biggest moments. Carly and Abby test every prototype by wearing it daily, stacking it with other jewelry, and pairing it with different outfits. If it doesn't work in real life, it doesn't ship.
From sketch to solid gold.
Every Mac Knowles piece goes through months of development before it reaches you.
Design
Carly and Abby sketch independently and together, exploring ideas until a direction emerges. They act as each other's foil to push, refine, and edit until it's right.
Development
Designs are reviewed for structural integrity, manufacturability, and proportion. Sketches become precision CAD models with millimeter-level refinement.
Prototype
Sterling silver prototypes are made and worn with different outfits, stacked with other jewelry, and rigorously tested in daily life.
Production
Final pieces are handmade in small batches by skilled jewelers in the United States, using 18k solid gold and ethically sourced natural diamonds.
